Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The International Journal of Physiology, Pathophysiology and Pharmacotherapy (IJPPP) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. We adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure fairness, transparency and accountability throughout the publication process.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submitted work must be original, free from plagiarism and not published or under review elsewhere.
  • All sources and contributions must be properly cited and acknowledged.
  • Ethical approval is required for research involving human participants or animals.
  • Any conflict of interest must be disclosed clearly.
  • All authors listed must have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Editors make fair and unbiased decisions based on the manuscript’s scientific merit.
  • Confidentiality of all submitted material must be maintained.
  • Editors act promptly in cases of suspected misconduct, plagiarism or unethical research.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Reviewers evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially and without conflict of interest.
  • Provide constructive feedback and highlight ethical concerns if identified.
  • Unpublished content must not be used for personal benefit.

4. Plagiarism and Misconduct

  • IJPPP has zero tolerance for plagiarism, data falsification, image manipulation, duplicate publication or any form of research misconduct.
  • All manuscripts are screened using reliable plagiarism‑detection software.
  • Confirmed cases of misconduct will result in rejection, retraction and notification of relevant institutions.

5. Retractions and Corrections

  • Corrections, clarifications or retractions are issued when necessary, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
  • Retractions are clearly marked and linked to the original article.

6. Transparency and Open Access

  • IJPPP maintains an open‑access model, supporting free and fair access to scientific knowledge under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
  • Editorial processes are transparent and fully documented.
